DIALOGUE 10

TALKING ABOUT PREFERENCES.
Mum- Where do you want to go on holiday this summer?
Albert- Er, I know, let's go to France!
Mum- France? I'd rather go to Spain.
Albert- But it's hot there. Why can't we go to the mountain.
Mum- We could stay at the beach.
Albert- No, I don't like that idea.
Mum- Well, how do you fancy staying in a cathedral.
Albert- Yeah, that's a great idea. We've never stayed in a cathedral.

DIALOGUE 9

ASKING FOR AND GIVING ADVICE.
Albert- Hey, Marc. Are you OK?
Marc- No, I don't feel very well.
Albert- Why, what's wrong?
Marc- I've got a headache.
Albert- Have you taken a Dalsy?
Marc- Yes, I have but I still feel terrible.
Albert- Well, you should the parents. You really shouldn't do homework.
Marc- Yes, I suppoose you're right.

DIALOGUE 8

ASKING FOR PERMISSION.
Albert- Dad, can I go cinema with Marc?
Dad- Yeah, sure.
Albert- Cool. Oh, and then can I go to the park?
Dad- No, you can't.
Albert- Why not?
Dad- Because it's Monday night, and you've got school tomorrow.
Albert- OK. One more thing, can I borrow some money?
Dad- Yeah, OK. I'll lend you 8€. But I'll only lend you the money if you promise to clean the kitchen when you get back. Here you go.
Albert- OK. I will. Thanks, Dad.

DIALOGUE 7

AGREEING AND DISAGREEING.
Marc- What's your favourite game, Marc?
Albert- I really like World Of Warcraft.
Marc- Do you know the game Call Of Duty.
Albert- Yes, but I don't like it.
Marc- Neither do I. It's too violent. Simulations games are better.
Albert- Really? I don't think so. I prefer adventure games or sport games.
